July Review AND August Preview
Wow We missed a whole month! It was so busy. Some big changes for us in July with the pack. And our business www.Webmanna.com has been rocking! No video this post. No time! But maybe later this week.
So I am not sure I can remember or do justice to all the changes but here goes.
First. Leilani – our beautiful little red merle Aussie puppy has gone to a new family. Disc is not her love, so we found her a family that would give her what she loves. It was very hard to do, but our focus is to do whats best by our dogs. And Leila (renamed – Bliss) is MUCH happier with her new home. Maren is loving training, teaching, shaping with her Bliss. Check out some Photos. She is already doing obedience, agility and dock diving.
Our foster smooth coat Flyer was adopted by a family with 2 young kids who can give flyer lots of love and attention and play. It’s awesome to see a dog that was likely going to die in a shelter be adopted and go to a family that loves her. Check out flyer in this video. Flyer
We finally got Anabelle (renamed Wiki) thanks to Kat Fahle. She happened to be in the area where Wiki was being fostered. Check out this youtube video of some training with Wiki. Wiki She is small fast and INTENSE.
Lilli and Kai have been doing some play and training and getting a lot of rest. Less disc play makes for more intense focused play when we do play. I really have been slacking on doing training with the dogs though.
Kai has absolutely blossomed. She jumps so high I wish she wouldn’t! She is confident and passionate about playing. One day she just started launching into the air and now every day she demands that I throw plastic.
Lilli (and Kai) have lost a few more pounds. The poor little skeletons are really energetic and fit. Lilli loves her new side reverse. She launches. Her juggle is locked in. I never thought that would happen. her catch percentage has dropped a little, not sure why. Maybe I need to do more tugging with her.
Lilli and Moxie are amazing. Susan Garrett helped us get a handle on the Moxie Shriek. Now watching Moxie and Andrea is so entertaining. They are so good playing together. And Andrea is so stoked to have a dog that is all hers. Turns out Moxie has become quite a cuddler and shin cleaner.
Andrea has developed a heart for shelter dogs and has been active in some rescues this month. Check out this cutie now being fostered by Jesse Moranti.
In July we had a few play days where people came over for training and practice and play. Great chance to learn from each other and socialize the dogs. if not for those days Dre and I would still be sitting at our desks.
As we head into August, Andrea and I are working hard and gearing up to go to Disc Dog camp at PVybe. Words can not express how excited we are to have a week with Ron and Apryl learning more about playing and being the best with our dogs.
