Trading Leila and Neo for Food
That’s something we would never do of course but sometimes we do trade creature comforts for criteria. Meaning sometimes it is easier to let them barge through a door or bark than it is to take the time to correct the behavior. Same thing with rewarding good behavior. A phone call, the dishes, dinner, House episode…
I can also see how Leila as a puppy really soaks up the training where NEO and moreso Lilli take a little longer, a few more reps. It’s an indicator that puppies, like children are learning exponentially.
Neo has made progress with his drive. You need to raise the excitement level to a 7 to get him really enrolled. He is a great jumper, very flexible and remains the most loving dog ever.
Leila is an absolute princess. She carries herself well. I’d attribute that to her breeders at Thornapple Aussies. She is ornery and fearless, really beautiful to watch run or sleep.
Lilli is the undisputed Queen of the pack. She has started to really hit her vaults with Andrea. She is taking on the criteria we have created for the younger dogs.
Andrea is so busy, she does what she can to squeeze in training and when she does, the dogs really respond to her as pack leader. I’m so impressed. She gets results so quickly.
For me, I am better with the tricks. I am more patience and play. Andrea is more work and authority. It works as a good mix for our dogs and our family.
